Xbox 360 Media Center Hack

Is Xbox Live dangerous? (10 pts for quality answers)?

I was reading stuff online and I heard some things from my friends. Here’s what scares me:

1) Microsoft has a ‘banhammer’ that will PERMANATELY deprive you from XBL if you get reported. No warnings or exceptions.

2) Xbox Live Accounts can be easily attacked, hacked, and taken over through customer support or other methods.

3) Xbox Live hacks can be used to attack somebody’s physical firmware and hardware of the actual Xbox 360 console. Hackers can disable core features like the Media Center.

There were other things I heard, too. I am NOT interested in modding or hacking.
But, what if a ton of people report me for no reason? Does Microsoft actually review the reports? Or is there just a report limit that auto-bans you? I dunno… I’m afraid to pay $60 for something that could put a negative effect on me. I need some info.

ps: I’ve never used XBL that’s why I posted this question.

1. Nope, the only way you can get permanently banned is for modding you console.
2. No, only if you’re a moron and give someone your password.
3. No, that’s impossible. It would be like me smashing up your Xbox 360 with my mind.

Just don’t mod your console and you’ll be fine. There’s no real “hackers” on Xbox Live, just scammers who trick people into giving their password.
