Noise has to do with the stock fans being a sealed bearing system. Which they decided to go with for longevity. However if you get 2 standard fans with a y-splitter, and a container of 4-in-1 oil. Put 3 drops in each bearing under sticker. Then you will have fans which are quieter than that 120mm fan. Just like a cars crankshaft, if you run an engine dry or run it on the same oil for a long time. All your doing is damaging the bearing. Happens to fan bearings as well, it’s the same.

my slim I can’t even hear. I forget it on half the time, and I can hear your xbox with silent mod therefore slim IS quieter.
Could you count how many Dbs it is.. I have a slim version.. I would love to test how many dB the slim one is after few minuttes. Then we can decide wether it is more quiet or not.

first of all, the xbox isn’t even on. the green light isn’t on so neither is the xbox. And even so, the slim is still quieter.
