The point i'm making, friz, is that Jack's editorial is misleading. Just like a Best Buy may try to force an HDTV on you, he's trying to make everyone think that Sony's doing the same. It's not true. You do not need any television upgrade to enjoy a PlayStation 3 or an Xbox 360 gaming experience. It's a Nintendo fanboy myth that they're trying to propogate so people will “see the light” and buy Wii instead.
I'm glad you're not a tool, but it's not exactly the point. I'm caught between a rock and a fanboy.
C'mon now, how many Wii buyers are going to buy prog-scan tvs to go with it just because it's supported? Not me. Not you. Not Ryan. So what is the problem? It's the same deal. Sony and Msoft just state it a bit louder because they also offer high-def movie viewing. It's part of their whole package, another selling point. No one's forcing HDTV bundles on you. It's like he's trying to scare anyone with the slightest inclination towards a PS3 to not get one.
